Centre for Africa Transformation

A newly registered Non-Governmental Organisation with the Registrar of Societies under the Ministry of Community Development and under the NGO Act number 16 of 2009, of the Republic of Zambia.

Centre for Africa Transformation is a non-profit organisation that is working towards improving the quality of life for people in various communities across Africa. We are working to empower women, protect human rights and provide training in areas of entrepreneurship, Corporate governance and life sustaining skills. The Centre also provides advocacy on human rights, social injustice and supports initiatives for environmental protection.

To promote the continuous improvement of the standard of living of people across the African continent through various project initiatives. CAT aims at becoming the preferred NGO in fostering human and social development, particularly for the less privileged people throughout Africa.

Transforming and empowering of communities, girls and women, promoting entrepreneurship and literacy through skills training, advocacy, self-reliance, health, agriculture, renewable energy, corporate governance, civic education, leadership and provide material and financial support in related areas.

  • To provide community life supporting skills in areas that include literacy, craft skills, ICT and Entrepreneurship.
  • Inspire communities to work in self- help and corporative life support activities such as natural environmental protection, agricultural, renewable energy schemes and encouraging sustainable and innovative initiatives.
  • Promote health awareness in communities relating to HIV/AIDS, and other communicable and non-communicable diseases such as cancer and discourage traditional practices which may lead to outbreak of such diseases.
  • Promote women empowerment by providing support in areas of skills training and entrepreneurship.
  • To provide financial support to vulnerable children and especially the girl child for them to attain formal education or skills training for self-sustainability
  • Be a Centre for advocacy on areas such as children’s rights, human rights, political injustice and social injustice.
  • Participate in training and awareness programs in areas of corporate governance, civic education and leadership.
